Tris Buffer with Magnesium Chloride, pH 9.0 is widely used in protein electrophoresis, nucleic acid agarose electrophoresis, and western blotting. Tris, also known as tromethamine, is a common component in buffers and is highly soluble. Magnesium chloride is frequently used for poly(U) sepharose chromatography.
