Product Description
Used in cell culture to study for the formation of ion-permeable channels in membranes, this is a polyene antifungal antibiotic. It interferes with fungal membrane permeability and is used for elimination of yeasts and molds in cell culture. It has an affinity for sterols, primarily ergosterols, of fungal cell membranes.
