Product Description
The BCA Assay, or Bicinchoninic Acid Protein Assay, is a test to determine the concentration of a protein in solution. It is a popular choice over the Bradford Assay for its increased sensitivity. It works by reducing Copper ions, which are then chelated with Bicinchoninic Acid to form a purple-complex measurable at 562 nm.
Sterile BSA Standards of 2 mg/mL are provided in order to establish a standard curve for reference. This BCA Assay is adequate for unknown protein concentrations anywhere from 20 µg/mL to 2 mg/mL. This efficient assay requires an incubation time of only 30 minutes.
bioWORLD also provides BCA Assays with Ovalbumin Standards or a Non-Mammalian Protein Standard for your convenience. Additionally, BCA Reagents A and B as well as BSA Standards may be purchased separately.
bioWORLD's products are supplied for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as a drug, agricultural or pesticidal product, food additive or as a household chemical.
