Product Description
Basta 1% (glufosinate) can be used as a non-selective herbicide for plant transformation studies using nucleotide sequence of the phosphinothricin N-acetyl transferase gene from Streptomyces viridochromogenes, "Bar gene." Basta 1% (glufosinate) acts by inhibiting glutamine synthetase and thus blocks all nitrogen assimilation into the plant.
