Ammonium phosphate monobasic provides plant with usable nitrogen and phosphorous and is, thus, used in the blending of dry agricultural fertilizers. It is also a component of the ABC powder in some dry chemical fire extinguishers and used in the field of optics due to its birefringence properties.
