Product Description
This solution is active against Gram-negative bacteria and bactericidal. It inhibits protein synthesis and protein elongation by binding to the ribosome. Spectinomycin is produced by Streptomyces spectabilis. Resistance is distinguishable by a mutation in the rpsE gene, preventing spectinomycin binding.
