Product Description
Carbenicillin inhibits bacterial cell-wall synthesis in the third stage of cell wall synthesis by inactivating transpeptidases on the inner surface of the bacterial cell membrane and preventing peptidoglycan cross-linking. Carbenicillin is more stable and resistant to β-lactamase enzyme degredation than its analog, ampicillin. Antimicrobial spectrum: Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, Pseudomonas.
